Neinstedt
The day clinic bridges inpatient hospital stays and outpatient follow-up treatment with a primary care physician, specialist, or psychotherapist, or the psychiatric institute outpatient clinic (PIA).
We provide twelve positions for patients with mental illness from the regional area.
Day clinic treatment is useful is outpatient care is not sufficient, but inpatient therapy is no longer necessary. Need for treatment, consent of the patient, and the ability of the patient to speak are required for admission.
The patient must also be able to reliably come and go from the day clinic every day, and can live without supervision at night and on weekends. The day clinic is not appropriate for treatment of every illness. If an addiction (alcohol, drugs, or other controlled substances) is detected, an initial hospitalization and detox is required prior to day clinic treatment.
The facility offers space for adults to be integrated into a personalized therapy program without having to give up their home environment. Treatment is linked to everyday situations and problems that arise. We help patients restore their ability to act independently and improve their quality of life, focussing on expanding skill competencies in order to gain flexibility and stability in everyday situations.
The following conditions are treated at our day clinic for adults:
