The church building was completed and dedicated in 1886 in the context of the growing "community of institutions" of the Neinstedt Institute (now the Evangelische Stiftung Neinstedt), in the neo-Romanesque style. In the bell tower are three cast steel bells from the bell foundry in Schilling, Apolda, with the tone sequence "g", "b" and "d-flat." In 1910, the side galleries were completed. The glass windows were made by the stained glass firm Müller in Quedlinburg.
The organ has a pneumatic traction action and comes from the workshop of the organ builder Ernst Röver from Hausneindorf near Quedlinburg.
Most of the paraments in the sanctuary were designed and made by Deacon Max Greiner from textiles donated in the 1960s.
