Psychiatric outpatient clinic

Outpatient treatment at the specialist hospital for psychiatry

Outpatient (further) treatment of patients with mental illnesses is possible in the psychiatric outpatient clinic. The outpatient clinic is an independent area of the hospital. It treats patients who require special care due to the nature, severity or duration of their illness. The aim is to avoid hospital stays, shorten treatment times and promote social integration by providing continuous care for patients.

Treatment spectrum

The clinical pictures treated include

Schizophrenia
depression
Anxiety disorders/panic disorders
Severe psychosomatic disorders
Post-traumatic stress disorders
Addictive disorders
Eating disorders with other existing mental disorders
Mental disorders following head and brain injury
Mental disorders in connection with dementia
Behavioral disorders in mentally disabled people

We do not treat neurological disorders.

Therapy

Specialists treat patients several times a week by appointment. After a thorough discussion with the doctor, an individual therapy program is developed for each patient. Together with the patient, we plan which treatment options we offer in detail. We cooperate with other psychosocial institutions and, if necessary, advise on further therapy options.

Patient information

Patients require a referral slip from their GP or specialist, which must be presented at the beginning of each quarter. Please also bring your health insurance card with you. The treatment costs are covered by statutory and private health insurance.
