Villa Johanne

Villa Johanne in Calvörde is home to people aged between 20 and 61 with intellectual disabilities. They live together in family-like structures. Accordingly, the facility also has two communal rooms.

The focus is on guiding and supporting the residents' independence. This includes, for example, handling money and household tasks. Depending on their interests, residents have the opportunity to take part in external activities. These include, for example, literacy courses through the district adult education center and disabled sports through the disabled sports association.

Depending on their individual needs, residents can choose between the following day structure offers:

• Day support from the support center
• Workshop in Bülstringen and Hundisburg

The day structure offers orientation and a variety of opportunities for work, occupation and self-realization.

Villa Johanne has a spacious outdoor area with a swing, table tennis table, seating area and cat house. Centrally located, residents can make good use of Calvörde's entire infrastructure. Activities include choir, dance, handicrafts, devotions, visits to the indoor swimming pool in Haldensleben and regular in-house movie screenings.
Of particular note in this context is the Circus Bonini, which has been running for 10 years now and is made up of residents and staff from the neighboring Bonin House of the Neinstedt Protestant Foundation. The regular performances are an eventful highlight for both the audience and the participants.

The individual levels of Villa Johanne can only be reached via stairs. This requires a certain degree of mobility on the part of the residents.

Villa Johanne is very centrally located in the center of Calvörde. The church, the market, various stores and institutions are just a few minutes' walk away.
