Marienhof

The Marienhof is a historic farm and serves as an external workplace for adults with intellectual disabilities. The farm's own residential facilities comprise a total of three residential groups. The shared apartments are designed as a community with opportunities for retreat. Each person takes on smaller and larger household tasks according to their own abilities. In addition to the individual rooms, there is also a communal area with a living room and kitchen.

Depending on their individual needs, residents can choose between the following day structure offers:

• Day support from the support center
• Workshop
• Vocational training area

The day structure offers orientation and a variety of opportunities for work, employment and self-realization.

Adults can live at Marienhof until the end of their lives, provided that they are able to make use of the services offered by the WfbM or the day support for senior citizens. As the combination of living and working at Marienhof is desired, it is possible to carry out agricultural work on the organic farm as part of the WfbM employment. This can include the 1000 chickens, around 30 cattle and the cultivation of potatoes and vegetables. The organic products are sold in the farm store. The Marienhof also has a petting zoo and offers residents therapeutic horse riding.

The Marienhof is located on the outskirts of Neinstedt on the banks of the River Bode. The Teufelsmauer nature reserve on the other side of the Bode can be reached via the barrier-free footbridge.

The village of Neinstedt, which is inclusive by tradition, offers a good club structure and a simple supply infrastructure. The village has a small supermarket, an organic farm store with a bakery and café, a bank, a post office and a small restaurant, as well as a medical center and a pharmacy. The train connection takes you to Thale or the world heritage town of Quedlinburg in 5 minutes.
