The Johanneshaus is home to nine residents with mental disabilities and some physical impairments who are able to live largely independently.
They live together in the form of a shared flat. There are five barrier-free single rooms with shared shower rooms on the first floor. The four comfortable one-room apartments on the second floor offer the opportunity to try out independent living in your own home. The in-house communal area can be used for joint activities.

The day structure offers orientation and a variety of opportunities for work, occupation and self-realization.
All leisure activities focus on the residents' personal interests and inclinations. All offers can be accepted and participated in on a voluntary basis. There is the opportunity to take part in activities inside and outside the facility, whereby the residents can withdraw at any time according to their needs.

The rooms and apartments are furnished with the option of individual furnishings.
Special features
For the residents on the upper floor, the focus of the educational work is on promoting independence with the aim of integrating them into a more advanced form of accommodation. In addition, the Johanneshaus places particular emphasis on supporting residents in their professional lives and organizing the transition to retirement age.

The Johanneshausis centrally located in Neinstedt.
The two towns of Thale and Quedlinburg are in the immediate vicinity and are easily accessible by bus or train. Both towns offer a wide range of cultural and leisure activities.
The traditional village of Neinstedt offers a good club structure and a simple supply infrastructure. The village has a small supermarket, an organic farm store with a bakery and café, a bank, a post office and a small restaurant as well as a medical center and a pharmacy. The train connection takes you to Thale or the World Heritage town of Quedlinburg in five minutes.
