House Hohe Straße

Haus Hohe Straße is an integrative residential facility with a total of 12 apartments, eight of which are occupied by people with intellectual disabilities. This provides a wide range of opportunities for encounters and social interaction. The 13 residents of Hohe Straße are between 30 and 80 years old. People with a low to high level of practical assistance live in the residence. The accommodation is ideal for couples.

The house was completely renovated in 1998 and therefore offers an individual living ambience with very high standards. The building has extensive grounds in the form of an 800 m² garden. This green oasis can be used by all residents for gardening, sporting activities or relaxing in the quiet area. A spacious seating area with barbecue facilities also invites residents to spend evenings together in the garden.

Depending on their individual needs, residents can choose from the following day structure offers:

• Vocational training area

The day structure offers orientation and a variety of opportunities for work, employment and self-realization.

The services offered by Hohe Straße House are a stepping stone to independent domesticity. All the necessary skills and abilities are taught and can be tried out in practice when running one's own household.
