House Auf dem Helmsteine

The house Auf dem Helmsteine is home to 13 people with mental and physical needs. The house has a large terrace, a pond and a small garden. There are two residential floors with an adjoining kitchen, sanitary facilities and five single rooms, as well as a two-room apartment and a single apartment. All residents are employed during the day in the WfbM or in a day support program. On weekdays, the staff are available to assist the residents from 06:00 to 09:00 and from 14:30 to 21:30. All day on weekends and public holidays.

The residents of the home form a house community. Within this framework, each resident takes on tasks and carries them out with individual guidance and support from staff. This includes grocery shopping, cooking, housework and planning excursions. Once a week, the residents meet in the large communal room to talk, socialize or play games and do handicrafts.

Depending on their individual needs, residents can choose from the following daytime activities:

• Day support from the support center
• Workshop
• Vocational training area

The day structure offers orientation and a variety of opportunities for work, occupation and self-realization.

Depending on their individual interests, residents take part in leisure groups such as horse riding, swimming, creative groups and Bible study. They maintain neighborly contacts and friendships. The residents manage their food allowance independently, do their shopping and cook for themselves. This is done with individual help. They enjoy using the terrace for cozy get-togethers and barbecues. A hobby room is available for arts and crafts. The residents go on excursions, parties and vacation trips together.

The house Auf dem Helmsteine is located in a quiet residential area in Neinstedt.

The traditional village of Neinstedt offers a good club structure and a simple supply infrastructure. The village has a small supermarket, an organic farm store with a bakery and café, a bank, a post office and a small restaurant, as well as a medical center and a pharmacy. The train connection takes you to Thale or the world heritage town of Quedlinburg in 5 minutes.
