Haus Ahorn/Eiche is a residential care facility for people with severe mental and physical disabilities. It consists of two interconnected residential units, each with 12 places. Short-term care places are available from the age of 0 for people with severe multiple disabilities.
The residents in the special care area attend day care or are cared for at home. Each residential group in the special care area lives in family-like structures, whereby the daily routine is organized together with the residents. Some residents take on smaller household tasks within the scope of their abilities. An important principle here is that the stronger residents help the weaker ones. In addition to individually designed living rooms, there is a large communal room with an integrated kitchen, so that all residents have the opportunity to participate in daily activities. The roofed outdoor area of the houses guarantees plenty of light and fresh air, regardless of the weather.
Depending on their individual needs, residents can choose between the following daytime activities:
- Day care center (for two care places in respite care)
- school (for two places in respite care)
- Day support at the support center
The day structure offers orientation and a variety of opportunities for work, occupation and self-realization.
Room facilities
The rooms are furnished with the option of individual furnishings.
Special features
There are two care places for children and young people in the Ahorn/Eiche house for respite care (guest places). Any special care services required are provided by the foundation's own outpatient care service. The care places can be requested via the admissions management if the caregiver is unavailable, e.g. due to illness, vacation, etc. Residents of all ages will find a home to feel at home in the supported care area. The Lukashaus is located in the immediate vicinity of the residential buildings. It houses a therapy pool, the institute's outpatient clinic with various specialists and a physiotherapy and occupational therapy practice.
The houses are barrier-free. The network of paths on the Osterberg is barrier-free.
Location
With an idyllic location surrounded by greenery, a park-like design and a view of the Brocken , the Osterberg invites you to take a trip into nature. The network of paths on the Osterberg is barrier-free and traffic-calmed. This makes it easier for residents to go for walks.
The traditionally inclusive village of Neinstedt offers a good club structure and a simple supply infrastructure. The village has a small supermarket, an organic farm store with a bakery and café, a bank, a post office and a small restaurant, as well as a medical center and a pharmacy. With the train connection in the village, towns such as Thale and the World Heritage town of Quedlinburg can be reached in 5 minutes.
We will be happy to advise you.
