The teamwork workshops
The vocational training area of the Teamwork workshops offers support when starting out in working life.
The workshop has a wide range of workplaces and places to carry out suitable activities in order to take into account the type and severity of the disability, the different abilities, development opportunities, aptitude and inclination of the employees. As far as possible, the workplaces and jobs correspond to those on the general labor market.
When designing the workplaces and work processes, the special needs of the employees are taken into account as far as possible in order to enable them to perform economically viable work.
The possible transition of employees to the general labor market is supported by appropriate measures. Temporary outsourced workplaces and external workplaces in companies in the general labor market are provided for this purpose.
External work groups and individual jobs
Jobs are available in landscape conservation, the guest house, the elderly care area, the residents' living areas and the central kitchen of the Evangelische Stiftung Neinstedt. There are also external workplaces in various companies in the Harz region.
Jobs for mentally disabled people
In the Kreuzhilfe and Maschinenhalle branch workshops in Thale, jobs are available for people with mental disabilities in the areas of document shredding, office services, housekeeping, electronics assembly, industrial assembly and clothing donation.
Entry and training
The vocational training area of the Teamwork workshops offers people with disabilities vocational and work-related training that includes the development of their overall personality. Employees are encouraged to achieve a minimum level of economically viable work performance as defined in the German Social Code.
During the entry procedure, the applicant tests his/her strengths and abilities and where future career aspirations could be fulfilled. The applicant, caregiver or family member is then advised as to which area of the workshop and which vocational rehabilitation measures are suitable.
The training courses are divided into 1st and 2nd year of training.
In the first year of training (according to the framework curriculum), skills and basic knowledge of various work processes are trained. At the same time, the employees' self-esteem and the development of social and work behavior are promoted. Adaptation!
In the 2nd year of training (according to the framework curriculum), specific skills with a higher degree of difficulty, particularly in the use of machines, and in-depth knowledge of materials and tools are taught. The ability to work with greater stamina and strain and to switch to different occupations is trained. The technical concept issued by the Federal Employment Agency (BA) in conjunction with the implementation concept drawn up by the Teamwork Workshop is fully taken into account.
